A Podcast that Turned into an Investment

When a Podcast Conversation Turned into an Investment – One Year Later

A podcast discussion about market research that fails to reflect reality became the starting point for an investment through the podcast Patric blir Ängel, produced by the investor network Nordic Angels. One year later, Perspetivo is one of the companies in the Patric blir Ängel portfolio that continues to grow, in step with increasing demand for reliable and representative data.

The podcast Patric blir Ängel has established itself as a format that lowers the barriers to the investment and startup world. By allowing entrepreneurs, ideas, and business models to be evaluated publicly rather than behind closed doors, the podcast gives more people the opportunity to understand how the market works – even those without prior experience in investing.

– When the penny dropped and I realized how traditional market research is conducted compared to what Perspetivo is doing, I felt I had to be part of it. The market surveys we encounter daily in different forums must reflect reality. The way Perspetivo collects data – by actually mirroring our society – means we can use their results in a concrete and honest way, with confidence, says Patric Erdhagen from the podcast Patric blir Ängel.

Perspetivo is a digital research company focused on delivering representative and reliable data, with a methodology specifically designed to reach groups that traditional surveys often miss – such as young people, individuals with foreign backgrounds, and people with literacy challenges.

Over the past 1,5 year, Perspetivo has doubled their turnover. The company has also doubled its number of users and expanded through several long-term partnerships across media, business, and the public sector. At the same time, Perspetivo continues to highlight how insufficient quality in parts of the research industry can lead to misguided priorities, eroded trust, and costly decisions.

Patric blir Ängel and Nordic Angels create space to discuss the bigger issues, not just a single company. At its core, our conversation was about a societal challenge: when large segments of the population are missing from the data, decisions risk becoming both uncertain and costly in the long run, says Suzan Hourieh Lindberg, CEO and co-founder of Perspetivo.

– A year can pass quickly, but a year with Perspetivo passes even faster. The pace at which Perspetivo continues to develop is unique – new things are happening all the time. The drive across the entire team to genuinely make a difference in society makes me incredibly proud, and I’m extremely grateful to be part of the journey, says Patric Erdhagen from the podcast Patric blir Ängel.
