95% Are Telling Us to Stop Calling

We live in a digital world. Our communication, habits, work, and entertainment all happen on-screen. Yet in many parts of the research industry, one method still lingers, the phone call. The data is clear: 95% of Perspetivo’s panelists do not prefer answering surveys via phone.

This insight says a lot about the gap between traditional research methods and the way people actually live today. Phone-based surveys, once considered a reliable way to gather opinions, are no longer aligned with how people want to share their views. They interrupt. They demand time and attention on someone else’s terms. And more importantly - they miss out on certain audiences.

When surveys don’t meet people where they are, participation drops. And when participation drops, the data becomes skewed. That’s a problem, especially when insights drawn from that data are used to shape decisions, policies, products, or strategies that affect all of us.
